Staff Benefits

ChildServe offers a competitive benefits package which includes time off, group sponsored medical and dental insurance, life insurance, and AD&D plans, 403b retirement plan with employer match, as well as a comprehensive wellness program.

Paid Time Off (PTO)

All full time and part time staff are eligible to accrue PTO immediately upon hire. PTO may not be used until it is earned. For non-exempt staff, accrual is based on years of completed service and hours paid. For exempt staff, accrual is based on years of completed service per pay period. The maximum accrual for new hires is 18 days or 144 hours for the first year.

Group Sponsored Health Insurance Plan

Full time staff are eligible after the first of the month following 45 days from hire. Coverage through Wellmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield Health Plans is offered to ChildServe staff with pre-tax dollars.

Plans include:

  • Blue Choice (Premium Plan)
  • Blue Advantage 1 (Core Plan)
  • Blue Advantage 2 (Lower Deductible Plan)

Group Sponsored Dental Insurance Plan

Full time staff are eligible after the first of the month following 45 days from hire. Coverage through Delta Dental of Iowa is offered to ChildServe staff with pre-tax dollars.

  • Section 125/Flexible Spending Account
Retirement Savings Plan

All staff who are 21 years of age are immediately eligible for a 403b retirement savings plan. ChildServe matches 50% up to the first 8% of gross bi-weekly wages.

Group Sponsored Life and AD&D Insurance

Full time staff are eligible upon the first of the month following 45 days from hire. ChildServe provides coverage of $30,000 for Life Insurance and coverage of $30,000 for AD&D Insurance for all eligible staff.

  • Staff may elect to purchase additional life and/or AD&D insurance for themself and their family members.
Group Sponsored Long Term Disability

Full time staff are eligible upon the first of the month following 45 days from hire. Annualized wages are paid at approximately 60% after a 90 day elimination period is reached.

Supplemental Insurance

Full time staff are eligible after the first of the month following 45 days from hire. Staff may elect to purchase supplemental insurance coverage, including critical illness (with or without cancer benefit), accident benefits, and short term disability paid for by staff.
