  Nutrition & Food Allergies

Our centers provide a nutritious lunch and snack(s) that meet the Federal Food Program guidelines. Breakfast is also provided at some locations.

We do not allow outside food to be brought into the center unless the child is not ready for table foods. Infants will be fed according to your written diet plan. The plan will be updated as the diet changes. Bottles must be labeled with your child’s name and date.

Allergies & Special Diets
If your child has food allergies or requires a special diet, we will work with you and your child’s physician to accommodate your child’s needs. We require a signed physician’s order for children with certain special diets (low
sodium, diabetic diet, tube feedings, etc.). We will follow a therapist's recommendation for a modified diet (pureed foods, for instance) provided a signed special diet form is included in your child’s file.

Menu Guidelines
Breakfast: Each week we will have two sources of Vitamin C.

Snack: Two credible items daily. Per week: One Item with Vitamin A or C, one fresh fruit or veggie, one new food or food activity, Three finger foods.

Lunch: Each item needed daily. Per week: Two sources of Vitamin C (one fresh), two sources of Vitamin A (one fresh), one diversity item.
