Developmental Milestones

Birth to 6 Months| 6 to 12 Months| 12 to 18 Months| 18 Months to 2 Years| 2 to 3 Years| 3 to 4 Years| 4 to 5 Years
Milestones: 18 Months to 2 Years



Fine Motor Development

• Imitates scribbling with a crayon.
• Can stack blocks 3-4 cubes high.
• Manipulates toys into containers.

Speech & Language Development


• Uses about 20 words consistently.
• Puts two familiar words together.
• Can follow simple directions.
• Imitates new words more precisely.

Gross Motor Development

• Walks easily on a flat surface.
• Squats down to pick up toys & returns to standing.

Social Development

• Gestures or points to call attention to most things, but frequency of verbal communication is increasing.
