Developmental Milestones

Birth to 6 Months| 6 to 12 Months| 12 to 18 Months| 18 Months to 2 Years| 2 to 3 Years| 3 to 4 Years| 4 to 5 Years
Milestones: 2 to 3 Years



Fine Motor Development

• Attempts to use a utensil for feeding.
• Snips paper edge with scissors.
• Imitates horizontal & vertical lines with a crayon.

Speech & Language Development

• Asks many questions.
• Has a large vocabulary of 300-450 words.
• Uses 3-5 word sentences.
• Responds appropriately to simple questions & directions.

Gross Motor Development

• Walks & runs easily on most surfaces.
• Walks up & down steps with one hand held.
• Jumps from a 10-inch surface without assistance.

Social Development

• Attends to one activity for at least 6-7 minutes.
• Communicates most wants/needs verbally.
• Talks to other children plus adults.
