ChildServe Receives Grant from Prairie Meadows
Tuesday, 24 February 2009 14:42

ChildServe has received a grant from Prairie Meadows Racetrack and Casino through its 2008 Community Betterment Grant Program. Grant funds will help to expand ChildServe’s outpatient therapy program through the purchase of specialized pediatric therapy equipment.

The Prairie Meadows Grants Advisory Committee, comprised of education, religious, and business leaders from the greater metro area, review all grant requests and recommends funding levels.

“We are extremely pleased to have received this funding from Prairie Meadows this year,” said Tracey Page, Director of Rehabilitation and Developmental Therapy for ChildServe. “These funds will help ensure that children in our community have access to high quality therapy with the equipment and expertise they need to grow and develop.”

Prairie Meadows Community Betterment Grants are given to projects in one of four categories: arts & culture, economic development, education, and human services. Since 1996, Prairie Meadows has contributed more than $399 million to promote education, economic development, agriculture, jobs, and tourism in Iowa.
