ChildServe Offers Free CEU Conference for Nurses and Physicians
Thursday, 12 March 2009 14:44

On May 1, 2009, ChildServe will host “Managing Tight, Rigid Muscles: Treatment Pathways,” a free CEU Conference for nurses and physicians. The conference features clinical speaker Ember Criswell, RN, a neurosurgery nurse at the Indianapolis Neurosurgical Group. Ryan Friesen, a Reimbursement Expert for Medtronics, will also speak over the luncheon.

Attendees can expect to gain a basic understanding of how spasticity affects individuals with certain diagnoses, along with learning how to do pump fills and programming. You will also learn to recognize the signs, symptoms, and troubleshooting options for problems related to ITB. Finally, attendees will leave with an increased understanding of how ITB therapy can assist in managing spasticity in your patient population, and how to manage an ITB therapy spasticity program.

The AM session of this free conference is open to all nurses. 3.6 contact hours will be offered. The PM session features 2.4 contact hours and is available to staff managing physician offices only. All sessions will be held at the ChildServe Center, located at 5406 Merle Hay Road, Johnston, IA 50131. For more information, please view our brochure or call 515.727.8750.
