Des Moines Area Association of Health Underwriters Golf Event Supports Children with Special Health Care Needs

ChildServe, a nonprofit organization that partners with families to help children with special healthcare needs live a great life, accepted a $1,000 donation from the Des Moines Area Association of Health Underwriters (DMAAHU). Members of the DMAAHU raised their donation at their annual golf outing, held on June 25, 2009 at the Copper Creek Golf Club.

The mission of the DMAAHU is to improve its members ability to meet the health, financial and retirement security needs of all Iowans through education, advocacy, and professional development. David Van Ahn, public service chair for DMAAHU, says that the group is proud to support ChildServe, because the money will help the organization provide extraordinary care to more than 2,300 Iowa children.
