Sophia Colamarino, Ph.D., Vice President of Research for Autism Speaks, will be sharing current thoughts about the biological underpinnings of autism, ongoing research directions in autism, and research efforts being undertaken by the Autism Speaks Science Program.

In addition to Sophia's role as Vice President of Research at Autism Speaks, she is a consulting Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University Medical School.  Through all of her activities, she has become especially well-known for her ability to communicate science to lay audiences.

If you are interested in the future of assisting children with autism at ChildServe, be sure to stay for the brainstorming discussion with Sophia after the presentation!
