The Board of Directors recently approved Child
Serve's new strategic plan,
Premier 2010. In order to achieve Child
Serve’s strategic vision, the strategic plan has identified a variety of strategic goals and initiatives that are segmented into three strategic focus areas. These strategic focus areas are aligned with strategic vision and address specific phrases in the strategic vision.
Strategic Vision 2010: ChildServe will be the premier provider of connected care and specialty pediatric services in Iowa.
The first strategic focus area addresses the strategic goals and initiatives that need to be accomplished to become the premier pediatric provider in Iowa. The second strategic focus area addresses the strategic goals needed to become the premier provider of connected care. The third strategic focus area includes those strategic goals that need to be achieved to become the premier provider of specialty pediatric services.
1. Premier Provider in Iowa
- We will develop the ChildServe Premier Quality Program using the Baldridge National Quality Program as a framework and implement the program recommendations by June 2010.
- We will solidify ChildServe’s niche position in pediatric healthcare in Iowa by communicating and integrating the ChildServe brand promise to internal and external audiences by June 2010.
- We will improve the financial sustainability of ChildServe though year over year improvements in the private insurance payer mix for Specialty Pediatric Service bundles of Skilled care and Therapy and clinic services by June 2010.
- We will develop the financial support needed from donors and supporters to address reoccurring program and services needs and one-time capital needs at CHC by June 2010.
2. Premier Provider of Connected Care
- We will systematically integrate Care Management within the four service bundles by June 2010.
- We will measurably improve the attainment of the CHOROUS mission outcomes year over year by June 2010.
3. Premier Provider of Specialty Pediatric Services
- We will systematically integrate accepted pediatric care standards into the ChildServe Clinical Management system for Skilled Care Services and Therapy and Clinic Services bundles by June 2010.
- We will achieve 80% occupancy in the Pediatric Transitional Care unit by June 2010.
- We will be 80% deployed in the offering of specialty clinics by June 2010.
- We will address the facility needs in the CHC Pediatric Continuing Care Unit and the Courtyard by June 2010.
