ChildServe at Woodland hosted its first field day ever and it was a big success! Team members, families, volunteers, kids and teens turned out for an afternoon of fun. The event was packed with fun including ambulance tours, an ice cream truck and ponies.
Telehealth services have made a world of difference for Charlie and his family. Charlie has achieved leaps and bounds towards his goals by bringing his ChildServe physical therapist virtually into his home.
When Braelyn was presented with the news that the abnormality on her brain stem was back, she replied “I did it once and I am going to do it again.” After undergoing a second brain surgery, she spent 50 days at ChildServe’s Pediatric Inpatient Rehabilitation Medicine program, regaining her daily living skills with support from our inpatient nurses and therapists. Braelyn wanted to share her story to help inspire other kids who may experience a similar journey.
Christina DeShaw, mom of three (two of whom were born with a rare heart condition), has an encouraging message for all the moms and mom-figures raising a child with special healthcare needs.
