In order to grow socially, two-year-old Bronwyn was in need of a childcare center specific to children with special health care needs. She was born with a condition commonly known as FOXG1, which makes eating, rolling over and standing difficult. After enrolling at ChildServe Childcare in Johnston, Bronwyn began to grow socially and enjoy her days more, yet she was still in need of additional care.
Fortunately, ChildServe had another option that could meet her family’s needs. As part of the Day Health program at the ChildServe Woodland Center, Bronwyn now has an individualized care plan and is able to receive occupational, speech, and physical therapy all in one place. Her parents are thankful for the time they save by dropping Bronwyn off at one location for all of her therapy sessions. Today, Bronwyn continues to socialize with other children!
ChildServe improves the health and well-being of nearly 4,500 children each year through specialized clinical, home, and community-based programs and services. We serve children with developmental delays, disabilities, acquired injuries, and other special healthcare needs.
