Meet Our Cedar Rapids Leaders

Sarah Hoeger

Site Manager

Sarah brings 25 years of leadership experience to ChildServe, including 24 years working in the nonprofit sector, and a whole lot of passion for helping others.

“What excites me most about opening a new ChildServe location is all of the opportunities on the horizon,” said Sarah. “The opportunity to meet new children and families, the opportunity to meet and mentor new staff and the opportunity to introduce ChildServe and our much-needed services to this community.”

Paige Richards

Clinical Team Lead

Paige has five years of experience working with families at ChildServe – Iowa City as a physical therapist. At ChildServe – Cedar Rapids she leads a team of physical, occupational and speech therapists who provide outpatient services.

“What excites me the most about the expansion is reaching more kids and families in an area where I know there is a need for our services,” said Paige. “I am excited to expand our mission and values into a new community. We have a great group of therapists. I am thrilled to lead and support them in helping children and families live a great life.”

Brianna Carter

Autism Day Program Team Lead

Brianna has 10+ years of experience in early childhood intervention and services and was a part of the team that launched the first Autism Day Program classroom in Iowa City. She developed and managed the program for three years as the lead classroom teacher. Now, Brianna has joined our Cedar Rapids team as the Autism Day Program Team Lead, where she will continue to share her expertise with the kids we serve!

“There has been a growing need for more autism services in the Cedar Rapids area for quite a while. I am so excited to bring our unique program to this community,” said Brianna. “I look forward to seeing the impact this new location will have on families.”

Tasha Schmidt

Operations Coordinator

As Operations Coordinator, Tasha is a welcoming face to every family who comes through our doors. She schedules therapy appointments for the clinic, manages the phone, and performs various administrative tasks to support our programs and services.

“Families can expect to be greeted with kindness throughout their time at ChildServe,” said Tasha. “Families receive wonderful services here from loving therapists and staff that truly have a heart of gold. Each one of our team members is here to help kids reach their goals no matter how big or small.”
