Dr. Christopher Smith is a licensed psychologist who has worked with clients across the age spectrum, with an emphasis on children and adolescents. He has worked across levels of care from inpatient to residential and outpatient with a wide range of mental health conditions and severity levels. His work with ChildServe involves conducting psychological evaluations and providing psychotherapy to clients and families. His research interests include resistance in therapy and testing, effectiveness of trauma treatments, early career psychologist issues, and treatment of early psychosis.
In 2015, Dr. Smith received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology, a program accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA). He completed a pre-doctoral internship working in an inpatient setting with adults experiencing severe mental illness, and completed his post-doctoral fellowship working with children, adolescents, and adults in an eating disorder center. He holds active licenses in two other states and is a full member of the American Psychological Association and National Registry of Health Service Psychologists.
ChildServe improves the health and well-being of 5,200 children each year through specialized clinical, home, and community-based programs and services. We serve children with developmental delays, disabilities, injuries, and other special healthcare needs.
