As Medical Director at ChildServe, Dr. Leah Brandon leads the Complex Care Clinic and oversees medical treatment for children receiving care at ChildServe’s inpatient rehabilitation and long-term care programs.

Dr. Brandon was instrumental in the creation of ChildServe’s Complex Care Clinic, a unique program that provides comprehensive care for children with complex medical needs. Her dedication to improving the lives of children and young adults with complex medical needs can be seen through her patient-centered approach and emphasis on care coordination, her collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and her focus on helping families navigate the healthcare system.

Dr. Brandon holds board certifications in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. She came to ChildServe in 2020 after three years as an Internal Medicine and Pediatric Physician at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, IA.

In 2016, Dr. Brandon completed her Internal Medicine and Pediatrics residency at the University of Missouri in Kansas City. Prior to that, she received her doctorate of osteopathic medicine and master’s degree in anatomy from Des Moines University, and her bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering from the University of Wisconsin at Madison.
