ChildServe is sending out the signal: We need your help!
You’re invited to unleash your inner superhero for ChildServe! Join us on June 13 for the Run, Walk & Fun 4 the Kids: Virtual Hero Edition. Each registration or donation to this virtual event will make a difference for children with special healthcare needs in Iowa.
Run, Walk & FUN 4 the Kids: Virtual Hero Edition
This spring, while most of us were asked to stay home to keep our families and community safe, many ChildServe heroes were called to continue their life-changing support of children with special healthcare needs. Throughout the situation related to COVID-19, we’ve seen these heroes going above and beyond to protect the health and safety of the kids we serve. Join the Run, Walk & Fun 4 the Kids: Virtual Hero Edition to support these heroes and our mission to help children with special healthcare needs live a great life.
We hope to see 1,000 miles pledged from ChildServe Heroes near and far.
Helping ChildServe is Easy…
Step 1: Pledge your miles by registering for the virtual run/walk!
Step 2: Complete your miles during the week leading up to June 13, as deemed safe by current public health guidelines.
Step 3: Take a photo or video of you or your family completing your miles, or wearing your Virtual Hero t-shirt*, and tag ChildServe on social media so we can cheer you on and build community from afar.
Step 4: Add ChildServe‘s superhero frame to your Facebook photo! Just go to your profile photo, select “Add Frame” and search “ChildServe.”
*T-shirt size guaranteed for those who register by 5/26 /20

Become an Everyday Hero
Encouraging others to support ChildServe’s mission has never been easier. Build your team on our Everyday Hero platform for an easy way to ask those near and far to help make a difference for children with special healthcare needs. You can also check out the stories of those who are already fundraising and make a donation to their fundraising campaign for ChildServe.
Superhero Training Camp
Becoming a superhero doesn’t happen overnight, and we’ve got a special training program planned to keep all mini superheroes busy this spring. Check out our virtual Superhero Training Camp and watch ChildServe social media for activities and challenges from our team and local partners!
Join the Cape Challenge
You don’t need a cape to be a hero…but they do make it more fun! Join the cape challenge by sending us a photo of you and your family in your home-made superhero capes. Bubble wrap, newspaper, or a blanket will do the trick, but we can’t wait to see what other incredible capes you come up with! Use the hashtag #ChildServeHeroesOntheMove so we can celebrate your support and choose the winner of the Cape Challenge!
