Megan’s Story
Megan leads her team every day with a patient, understanding, and above all, kind heart.
The DAISY (Diseases Attacking the Immune SYstem) Award is an international recognition program that celebrates the skillful, compassionate care nurses provide every day. ChildServe Inpatient Clinical Manager Megan Nikolish was nominated by one of her peers, who wrote:

“Megan always goes above and beyond for the kids and families we serve. The work she does behind the scenes is so often more than what anyone sees. Recently, the team was working on discharging a child. The family was struggling with training and I asked Megan if a specific nurse could work with this family. My hope was with consistency the family could ultimately get their child home. Megan stepped in and volunteered to come in at times that worked best for the family to complete the training. She meets people where they are at and guides them to where they need to be. Megan has a way of partnering with families during some of the most challenging situations.”
