Volunteer at ChildServe

Making a Difference

ChildServe volunteers make an enormous difference in the lives of the kids and young adults we serve. We have many volunteer opportunities like playing games, preparing or helping with a craft, and supporting fun events throughout the year. We welcome energetic, enthusiastic individuals and groups who pass our background check process.

For inquiries regarding internships and job shadowing, please visit our careers page or email careers@childserve.org.

Special Skills & Talents: Put your musical gifts, dancing prowess, sewing skills, woodworking mastery, arts and crafts abilities to great use.

Special Event Support: Help us bring our fun-filled events to life through event prep, set-up, or clean-up; running a game or activity, helping with check-in, and more.

Administrative Support: Are you task-oriented and love to see a job well-done? Help various services through filing, data entry, assembling packets, making photocopies, preparing crafts, and more.

Professional Volunteer: From landscaping to fundraising, we love hearing from professionals looking to donate their expertise across many fields.

Important Guidelines

Time Commitment

We partner with individual volunteers who are willing to donate a minimum requirement of 20 hours in 6 months or more to the children and young adults we serve.

Age Requirements

We welcome volunteers of all ages! However, children 13 years old and younger must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Health Requirements

The most effective way to prevent disease is for all staff and volunteers in contact with the children we serve to receive the seasonal vaccines. ChildServe highly encourages all volunteers to receive the seasonal flu and covid-19 seasonal vaccine. In some service areas volunteers are required to receive the seasonal flu and Covid-19 vaccination prior to volunteering at ChildServe unless they have an approved medical or religious exemption.

Enjoy Being with Amazing Kids
Some of the kids we serve are wheelchair-bound, and some are non-verbal. They each have an amazing story and personality no matter what their physical or intellectual abilities are – we can’t wait for you to meet them!
